Ladies Body Movement & Styling Workshop.......
![]() |
| Source |
I am off to a Ladies Play workshop today!!!!!!!!
It is being held at the Lorne Street Studio in Auckland City. I haven't been to this studio yet so am looking forward to it as this is where a LOT of the good dancers come from.
The teacher/instructor is a lady who has done lots of different dance styles and is very elegant yet sexy with her moves!
The course description:
Why is warm up so important and how to do it properly?
How to improve and work on your body isolation / body waves and general body movement
Striking a good pose: "how to" and "when to"?
Basic rules of arm styling
Leg styling
Coming out of dips
Coming out of turns
Hair play
What's a sexy face and how to use it
Can't wait as it will be so much fun - learning more about how to have the wow factor when dancing. Sometimes it is hard to know what to do and when to do it when dancing.
I am going with my dancing friend Andrea, so at least I won't feel like a complete prat all by myself!
Will update about the course tomorrow.

Lingerie Purchases........
After having most of my bra underwires breaking on me, it was time to venture out to purchase some more as I was down to one!
Off I went to Farmers to try them on - remembering that this time last year was when I had last purchased some and was in a good place with my weight loss journey and at the lowest ever weight. My bra size then was a 16E.
I had been wearing those bras for the last year and had slowly been putting them under a lot of pressure due to me having put on at least 10 kgs over the course of the year(eek!), and in my naive mind I thought "oh I must be about an 18 maybe 20 at the most"
BUT no - those number were not to be seen on these lovely lady lumps!
The new number that is now gracing the girls is a 22C
Oh the shock and the shame!
The largest I had been was a 22DD!. - How did this happen I hear inner naive Lisa saying - we haven't been that bad have we?? - We aren't at our heaviest again?? Why oh Why!
And we all know it has only been my own doing - sneaky treats here and there - eaten in private but worn in public!
So it is time to knuckle down and do what needs to be done!
Starting tomorrow....................
Just kidding - starting now!

89 Day Challenge - Day 1
The other day our Grab A Deal website had a great offer to joing a gym for $89.00 for 89 days and even better was that it was a local gym for me!
So I hummed and ahhed about it, and thought a bit more and decided to give it a go!
I really want to give this a go and 89 days is not too long to commit to a goal and still feel it as being achieveable and a good time frame to set some goals
I would like to loose between 8-10kgs in this time (more would be great). They will do a weight and programme for me on Wednesday so will update then.
So first thing this morning I will be hitting the gym.
I want to try and post daily with this challenge to help keep me accountable and on track!
So technically yesterday the 25th July was day 1 but I was only able to sign up, as I had promised the day to my daughter for her birthday but watch out from now on.
Will update later on to tell you how it all went.

Bungy Update
As I mentioned the other day, I was in Queenstown last weekend with my best friend.
She was down there for a work conference and since it was her birthday on the Friday we decided that I would fly down and spend the weekend with her!
We had a blast - altho Queenstown is very expensive.
She has the photos on her camera so I can only show you one of the bungy ones I have managed to down load for now.

This is her and I just before we jumped!
Notice I am holding on to the bar still!
I will be honest - I chickened out of my solo jump - I just couldn't bring myself to "fall" off the ledge - but I really wanted to do it!
Since Ang loved her solo she was more than happy to do a tandem with me, and if you jump again on the same day it was only another $60.00 for her to jump!
So we got strapped up and away we went!
Once I can get the other Bungy photos to upload I will post them!
When you are strapped together you are to hold onto the other persons harness at the back and put your free hand out to the side!
Well - I freaked out straight away and my free hand went straight to Angs shoulder and didn't leave! so all you see in the other photos is her face and my side or my big bum! (hilarious)
I shut my eyes and screamed the whole way down!
I HATED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BUT I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!
I had worked myself up to jump and when I couldn't do the solo - I was so upset with myself as I had placed so my significance on this jump!
To me it was to symbolise the releasing of the old me - who put up barriers for not succeeding at weight loss, who made excuses to not exercise - I wanted to throw the old me off and emerge a new me!
A person who will succeed at her goals
A person who will put the focus where it needs to be
A person who will face her fear and overcome it anyway!
So to do the solo with my best friend was perfect - she is there for me in any way that I need her and vice versa!
And yes since Saturday - I have been a focused girl - I am exercising a lot more, eating great and really working on me!
Watch out World here I come!
